Basic Knowledge

How to Calculate Hourly Rate from Monthly Salary

Hourly rate can be estimated as "monthly salary ÷ monthly working hours." For example, if you work 8 hours per day for 20 days per month, the total monthly working hours are 160, and your hourly rate is the monthly salary divided by this number. If you have frequent overtime, recalculating based on actual working hours will give you a more accurate figure.

Difference Between Gross and Net Salary

Gross salary is the total amount paid before taxes and social insurance contributions are deducted, while net salary is the actual amount you receive. Job listings typically show the gross hourly or monthly rate.
