Shaku, ma, and ri are units of length in the Japanese shakkoku system. 1 shaku is approximately 30.3cm, 1 ma is 6 shaku ≈ 1.818m, and 1 ri is approximately 3.93km. These units remain in use today in architectural floor plans and historical distance expressions along old Japanese roads.
