Common Naming Conventions

In programming, there are established styles for writing names that combine multiple words, and different styles are used depending on the language and purpose.

camelCase：camelCase capitalizes only the first letter of the second and subsequent words, and is used in JavaScript variable names and similar contexts.
snake_case：snake_case connects words with underscores and is used in Python variable names and database field names.
kebab-case：kebab-case connects words with hyphens and is used in URL slugs and CSS class names.

Computers treat uppercase and lowercase letters as distinct characters, so inconsistent capitalization in program variable names and URLs can cause errors or be treated as separate pages.
